In the Classroom

Your little sweethearts will have lots of fun in February in Mrs. Fenelon, Mrs. Wilson, and Mrs. Grudt’s 3’s classroom!

After starting out the month with a little more circus fun, we will talk about who we love and some of the ways we can show our friends and family that we love them.  We’ll learn how to say “I love you” in sign language.  We will also prepare Valentines for a couple of special people:

            ♥  We’ll make a special ‘Funny Bunny’ valentine for Dad in class

♥  We’ll make something special for Mom at Dad’s Night on the 7th at 6:30
                    *** this is something you definitely don’t want to miss, Dad!!!

Our Valentine Party will be on Tuesday, February 14th at 11:00.  Look for a sign-up sheet to be posted soon.  Your child may bring in a valentine for each child (there are 13 in our class).  Your child may sign his/her name on the valentine, but please don’t address it to a particular child.  It is easier to just put one in each pouch.  Thanks!

Next, we’ll have some ooey gooey fun on Thursday the 16th.  Please be sure to dress your little one for a mess that day!  After a hopefully fun and relaxing week off for Mid-winter break (February 20-24), we will finish off the month talking about dinosaurs and extinction, how we even know there were dinosaurs and just how big they were!  We will also be digging for dinosaur bones, making fossils, and more.

Throughout the month we will be counting and sorting hearts, circus elephants, and anything else that captures our fancy – kids, tables, speckled frogs, monkeys swinging from trees, etc – as well as working on colors and shapes.
