In the Classroom

Your little sweethearts will have lots of fun in February in Mrs. Lisa, Mrs. Winter, and Mrs. F’s 3’s classroom!

We will be starting the month with our classroom becoming a circus. We will become silly clowns and use the parachute for the ‘Big Top!’  We’ll also be exploring balloons (what’s in there?) and even painting with them, and lots of large motor circus ‘acts,’ and more.

Next will be creating lots of Valentine’s fun. We will talk about who we love and some of the ways we can show our friends and family that we love them.  We’ll learn how to say “I love you” in sign language.  We will also prepare Valentines for a couple of special people:

            ♥  We’ll make a special ‘Funny Bunny’ valentine for Dad in class

♥  We’ll make something special for Mom at Dad’s Night on the 7th (6:30pm)
                    *** this is something you definitely don’t want to miss, Dad!!!

Our Valentine Party will be on Tuesday, February 14th at 11:00.  Look for a sign-up sheet to be posted soon.  Your child may bring in a valentine for each child (there are 13 in our class).  Your child may sign his/her name on the valentine, but please don’t address it to a particular child.  It is easier to just put one in each pouch.  Thanks!

After a week off for mid-winter break, we will be talking about the colors of rainbows, making rainbows and creating the cover to our Spring Counting Books.  

Throughout the month we will be counting and sorting hearts, circus elephants, and anything else that captures our fancy – kids, tables, speckled frogs, monkeys swinging from trees, etc – as well as working on colors and shapes.
