Mrs. McKinnon’s & Mrs. Portugals 4’s In the Classroom Newsletter May 2010

Dear Parents,
I can’t believe this is the last month of our school year.  We have many fun things planned for the month of May!

We’ll start our month off with honoring our Mom’s. Your children have been working very hard on a few Mother’s Day surprises and are very excited to share this with you at our Mother’s Day Tea. Our Classroom Tea takes place on May 7th at 11:15 in our classroom.

Our second week is filled with counting and some addition math skills.  We will have some fun with our friends in the jungle!

 A bus and driver from the Lake Washington School District will come to our school on Monday May 17th. We’ll learn about bus safety and get to take a short ride in preparation for Kindergarten! Please look for a permission slip for this event posted outside our classroom for you to sign.  We’ll also finish up our Father’s Day Gift that we’ve been working on all year! Our Year End Celebration will be on Wednesday May 26 at 11:00 in our classroom.

Lastly, I’d like to thank each and every one of you for sharing your child with me this school year. It has been my joy, privilege, and pleasure to watch them grow and learn throughout the year. Their smiles, love, laughter, kind hearts and eagerness to learn have truly blessed me. They will forever hold a special place in my heart.
