In the Classroom

We are winding down the school year with more fun and learning in the Pre-K classroom of Mrs. Fenelon, Mrs. Schwientek, and Mrs. Portugal!   

We will start the month getting ready for our Mother’s Day Tea Party!  This event will take place in our Pre-K classroom on Thursday, May 6th at 2:30.  Moms, please try to come or have someone else special be there to share this fun event with your child.  Since this is such a special time with your Preschooler, please try your hardest to make other arrangements for siblings.  Thanks!

During the last few weeks of school we will continue to have fun and explore a variety of themes.  First, we will talk about the oceans of the world and the animals that live there.  On Tuesday, May 11th, a representative of NOAA (National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration) will visit our school to teach us about marine life!

On Monday, May 17th, a school bus from the Lake Washington School District will come to our school!  We will learn about bus safety and go for a ride! 

Sadly, all good things must come to an end.  This class is truly special – every one of your children has added a special touch to our daily routine.  We will celebrate our wonderful year with a Good-bye Party on Tuesday, May 25th (the last day of school), at 2:30 in our classroom.  Please plan to join us!  Also, please let us know ahead of time if your child will be absent during the last week/day.

Some important dates to remember:

  • Thursday, May 6th:  Mother’s Day Tea Party at 2:30.
  • Tuesday, May 11th:  NOAA Presentation on marine life.
  • Monday, May 17th:  The school bus comes to our school to give us a ride!
  • Tuesday, May 25th:  Last Day of School and End of Year Party at 2:30 in our classroom
