I can‘t believe how fast this year has gone by. At the end of this month we will have new kindergarteners!
1st week: This week we will be reviewing all of the letters of the alphabet. Please bring an object on Monday that starts with any letter of the alphabet. This week we will also be preparing for our very special Mom’s Day Tea. The Mother’s Day Tea will be on Thursday, May 6th at 2:30pm in our classroom. We are requesting that siblings stay home - if at all possible - so that you can fully enjoy the special time with your Pre-K child. We have worked on some very special projects and your kids would love to share this event with you. Please feel free to dress up - this is a tea after all!
2nd week: This week we will be talking about our favorite things we did during our Pre-K year - we have done so much this year! On Monday, please bring a favorite object to share. Tuesday and Wednesday we will be talking about ocean life and animals. On Thursday, it’s Beach Day. Please bring a beach towel, wear shorts and some cool sunglasses. Weather permitting – we may even get a little wet!
3rd week: On Monday, we will be going on a school bus ride. A bus driver will be driving a big yellow bus to our school and take us on a bus ride. (Please look for a permission slip for this event posted outside our classroom for you to sign.) On Tuesday, we will go camping in our classroom. The kids can bring a sleeping bag or favorite blanket and of course – flashlights! We will even have our own pretend campfire! On Wednesday, we will be celebrating our dads and be working on some Father’s Day gifts. On Thursday, we will have game day. Please bring in a favorite game to share with everyone – make sure to label it with your name!
4th week: This is a super fun last week! On Monday, we are getting ready for Kindergarten and learning how to do things the Kindergarten way. And Tuesday is our last day of class. We are going to have an End of the Year Party in our classroom this year at 2:30 – we will be having a special treat and celebrating the whole Pre-K year. Parents – please join us!
Lastly, we’d like to thank each and every one of you for sharing your child with us this school year. We did a lot of special things – we learned, we laughed, and we grew. Their smiles, love, laughter, kind hearts and eagerness to learn have truly blessed us. They will forever hold a special place in our hearts.
Have a wonderful summer! We will miss each and every one of your wonderful children – be sure to bring them back by to say “hi” next year!!
